I knew that the Necklace Star Fish could be seen in the Lembeh Straits of Indonesia. So in October, 2010, I was on a mission. Two seastars I found were missing a leg or two. Don't worry, they grow back. Finally I found this perfect juvenile "running" across the sandy bottom. Couldn't figure out where it thought it was going in such a hurry. I took dozens of pictures to make sure I had enough reference photos for this painting.
