Also known as the Comet Sea Star, this Blue Linckia Sea Star, is seen in the sunny areas of the reef, constantly foraging for food. In October, 2010, I found this one amongst the corals in the straits of Sulawesi, Indonesia. I saw a few bright blue linckias seastars on almost every Indonesian dive. In addition to the blue, I photographed a few red and purplish Linckias too.
